The brief was to deliver a mobile phone and tablet responsive CMS website using WordPress technology, which showcases the Queensland based business, Worssell Cast Bronze Plaque Foundry.
Worssell & Company is a third generation family owned business. Edmund Bernard Worssell established the company in 1943. His son Edmund Ian Worssell joined the company with his father, his wife Shirley Victoria Worssell joined later and they were directors for many years. The company is now owned by Evan Karl Worssell and his wife Michele Betty Worssell. At a high level the website should perform as the product showcase for the Bronze Plaque Foundry business. The products are varied and high in detail, though not overly complicated so the user experience needed to be simple and effective.
A key part of the brief was to support the fundamentals of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM). The website was launched to achieve immediate inbound traffic by a formal account creation and submission to Search Engines Google, Yahoo and Bing. Traffic projects would be supported as the website had a Google analytics account created and connected to the website. All contact forms had spam protection and also the required plugins to block robot spam.
The owner of the business needed a quick solution that was budget conscious and easy to transfer the old wesbites content and technical assets such as domain name and email hosting. The website should enable easy administrator access for multiple users of different levels of security, and enable easy content updates. For users the site architecture provided a user friendly User Experience (UX).
